Beg with a p row, work 3 rows in st st; do not cut C but join in B.

Row 6: Still using B, (k4, inc1) 6 times (36 sts); do not cut B but join in D.

Row 7: Using D, (p5, inc1) 6 times (42 sts).

Row 8: Using D, (k6, inc1) 6 times (48 sts).

Row 9: Using D, (p7, inc1) 6 times (54 sts); do not cut D but pick up C.

Beg with a k row and using C, work 3 rows in st st; cut C and pick up B.

Join pointed ends of tummy and short ends of back together to form back and front ends of body.

Head

Partially stuff head before positioning eyes, then attach eyes; stuff head firmly and stitch head to body.

Round 1: Knit; cut A and join in B.

Knit 10 rounds.

Cut B and join in C.
