To ascertain the type of articles we require, simply consult the latest issue. Instructive articles are the backbone of the magazine but there is always room for more general features. If you want to write for the magazine the first thing to do is to consult the Editor. If your idea seems viable, you will be sent clear and precise author's guidelines. Whether you are considering providing projects, technical articles or features, the key to being published is good photography. Our excellent editorial staff can tweak or even re-write your copy but without good photography your idea will not be viable. Unfortunately we do not have staff to photograph your work for you. |
If you have a 35mm SLR camera (we prefer transparencies) or a 4 mega-pixel (or better) digital camera you are well on the way. Projects and technical articles should have photos with a consistent narrative. This ‘pace' should also be reflected in the text, which must be written in proportion to the number of photos. For more specific details, contact the Editor. Fees are paid at an agreed rate per published page. GMC cannot accept liability for the loss or damage of unsolicited material.
