Synopsis:-
On the technical front this month in F&C, David Charlesworth takes a look at accuracy in stock preparation and marking out, focusing on gauges, Kevin Ley examines closely the construction and function of tables, whilst John Lloyd continues in his quest in copying chairs. Projects on offer include a pair of bedside cabinets in American cherry with new author, Andy Grieve whilst another new contributor to F&C, Ed Sutton, designs and makes a fabulous console table in cherry. Elsewhere, regular author Mark Ripley, sets himself the task of designing comfortable dining chairs within a short timeframe. Features for March looks at the wonderful furniture courses on offer at Bridgwater College as Michael Huntley continues his tour of colleges throughout Britain. On test this month, Ron Fox inspects the new D4R Dovetail Jig from Leigh, John Lloyd pops up again to give his verdict on the Hammer A3 31 Planer Thicknesser, and editor Colin Eden-Eadon gets to grips with two new Palm Sanders from Ryob
